I am a puddle jumper & a drill sergeant. I am an idealist & a cynic. I have learned to embrace my unique perspective and use photography, design, video, and various mixed media in an attempt to thoughtfully share ideas and observations. My work is only part of a conversation, and is not an absolute statement or judgement. My goal is to solicit a response in the hopes of promoting constructive discussions and/or point out things that are overlooked in our daily lives, so as to discover a new appreciation for them.
after having a tough week
and another tough couple of days,
with very little good news … it was nice to come home and see this email :)
These images are from the ongoing series “An Analog Life”.
All images in this series are taken with old/abused/water damaged Fuji Velvia, Ilford, Konica, Agfa, and Kodachrome film… using old cameras( Polaroid sx70,Kodak Brownie, Mamiya C330 tlr, Rolleiflex tlr) or Holga cameras. Digital just can’t communicate at the level analog does. By shooting these observations in this manner my intention is to create a more intimate relationship with each singular narrative.

This series is part of an ongoing project, capturing the essence of Detroit and it’s continuing metamorphosis. This part of the project focuses on the containers (buildings) that occupy detroit’s urban-scape.
